MPC Bhutan Entertainment
After directing Bhutan’s first commercial and block buster movie “Jigdrel”, followed by “Rangdol & Yangdon” for Norling Drayang and block buster movie “Chepai Bu” for Pekhang Audiovisuals, Bhutanese film director Karma Tshering has established his own film production company called as MPC bhutan entertainment (MPC) in 2000. Numerous documentary films, feature films and commercial advertisements were produced under this banner.
In 2008, MPC has founded Bhutan’s first beauty pageant, “Miss Bhutan Pageant”, an initiative to provide a forum for young Bhutanese women to display their skills and talents, and to advance their careers. To address issues relating to women and children, MPC has founded Bhutan’s first women’s magazine “Yeewong” the following year.
MPC Big Events
MPC big events is one of nation’s most well known event management companies and has already staged big events for Toyota Motors, STCBL, Honda Motors, TATA group, Dhejung Motors, Miss Bhutan Pageant 2008, Miss Bhutan Pageant 2010, International Dance & Film Festival in Hawaii, USA, Guinness World Record Tree plantation event in Thimphu, Bhutan’s first Peling Tshechu in Bumthang, second Peling Tshechu in Thimphu, Inter-departmental Theatre Competition at Sherubtse College, Kanglung, first “National Music Festival” in Trongsa and 2 days “National Textile Exhibition” in Lhuentse in collaboration with PICSA.
MPC Publications
MPC publications is a publishing firm and has produced two editions of Bhutan’s first women’s magazine “Yeewong” in 2009 and 2010, first edition of tribute book 11-11-11 dedicated to the birth anniversary of His Majesty The Fourth King in 2011, second edition of tribute book 11-11-11 in 2015 and the third and final edition of the tribute 11-11-11 is under process. MPC publication will be producing a brand new magazine on “Miss Bhutan 2022” soon after the crowning the new Miss Bhutan 2022.
