Tashi Choden was crowned Miss Bhutan  on 4th June 2022 in the 3rd Edition of Miss Bhutan.

                   

Together with the pageant title she won in three other sub-categories, namely “Best in Kira”, “Best in Evening Gown” and “Best Ramp Walk”. She represented the country for the first time at the 71st Miss Universe Pageant held in New Orleans, USA, on January 14, 2023. Tashi generated international interest and media buzz after talking openly and persuasively about her gay status and what her journey and representation meant for the LGBTQIA+ community in Bhutan.
