Sangay Tsheltrim is the Chairman of Miss Bhutan. Sangay Tsheltrim’s career and personality spans over military service, health and fitness, and the silver screen. Formerly a captain in the Royal Body Guards (RBG), Bhutan’s elite military force, Sangay has since reinvented himself as a bodybuilder, actor, and social contributor,  a true embodiment of discipline and leadership. Sangay’s leadership credentials were forged in his early years in uniform. His time in the military taught him not just tactical discipline, but responsibility, resilience, and a strong sense of service – qualities that have continued to define his civilian life. While in the RBG, Sangay developed a passion for fitness and began building his physique. He  was crowned Mr. Bhutan in 2017 and subsequently founded the Thimphu Muscle Factory, one of the biggest and most well-known gyms in Bhutan. In 2018 he starred in Singye (“Lion”), his debut film, which became an instant hit and earned him wide recognition. His breakout into Bollywood came with Salman Khan’s Radhe, where he played a negative role,  which came as a result of a chance meeting with the Indian superstar that changed his life. He later starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan (as a police officer, “Juju”), bringing real-life military authenticity to the role. He has also appeared in the web series The Freelancer.  Sangay’s leadership extends to his charitable side supporting children’s education until graduation, a generosity and willingness to give back, especially to those who are vulnerable. Sangay’s journey is a powerful example of leadership in action from protecting his king, to representing Bhutan on the sporting stage, to making a mark in Bollywood. He often credits his strength of mind and body to his military training.
